1967 912 Coupe 5-Speed
We've seen this car, and this price, before

Produced from 1965 to 1969, the 912 was a more affordable alternative to the 911, featuring a 1.6-liter flat-four engine from the 356SC. With 90 horsepower and a lightweight chassis, it offered a fun, yet inexpensive alternative to the 911 while maintaining the iconic design and rear-engine dynamics. With its simplicity, lower cost, and engaging driving experience, it’s easy to see why 912s have become sought after cars today.
This 1967 912 Coupe 5-Speed sat in storage for 29 years before being refurbished from 2020 to 2022. Work included a repaint in Polo Red, with the interior reupholstered in Black leatherette. The engine was rebuilt at this time as well with a replacement forged crankshaft, an Elgin camshaft, and finned 86mm aluminum cylinders and corresponding pistons along with resized rods and replacement valves and guides. While the car rides on 15” Fuchs-style wheels, originals are included with the sale along with a binder full of records for an very nice example.
We last saw this 912 in June 2022 when it hammered for $61,000, which was a good clip above the $49,000 average of the time. Since then, average prices have increased slightly to about $52,000 today, but the price of this one didn’t increase as it sold for exactly what it brought before with a final bid of $61,000. That right there makes it a good buy in my book.
