1973 911T Coupe Modified
This one was up there with recent modified LWB builds, was it worth it?
There’s no shortage of modified LWB 911s out there and the market can be hard to pinpoint as we’ve seen them sell at a low of around $40,000, all the way up to a recent high of $385,167. That variation in price is usually dictated by the amount of work gone into the body and interior, engine size, and who built the car.
This 1973 911T Coupe has been modified by Jerry Woods Enterprises and has been repainted in Gulf Blue with the installation of steel rear fender flares, a fiberglass ducktail decklid, RS-style bumpers, and sits o 16” Braid Fuchs-style wheels. The paintwork is in excellent condition as evidenced by hundreds of pictures in the gallery.
On the inside, the car features Recaro Pole Position sport seats are upholstered in black fabric with houndstooth inserts, RS-style door panels, a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, VDO instrumentation, and is just as clean and crisp as the exterior.
Power comes from a 3.6-liter 993 flat-six and has been modified with a MoTeC engine management system, individual throttle bodies, a twin-plug ignition system, a front-mount oil cooler, a Phase 9 muffler, and free-flow headers. A MoTeC M84 ECU and Clewett Engineering throttle bodies. A big engine with plenty of power for such a nimble, light-weight, early car.
It checks all of the boxes for me when looking at a custom build. Well-known shop, excellent exterior, tastefully-done interior, and plenty of horsepower. No wonder it sold at a final bid of $220,000. A big number, but just try to recreate this build for that.
