1980 911 Turbo Modified

A Jager Bomb from South Africa

For me, Continental Orange just screams Jagermeister. Yes, I know that the official Jager color was Rein Orange, but Continental is soooo close. Just imagine how good this modified 1980 930 Turbo Coupe would look with a Jagermeister livery, especially since it has a 934 look thanks to the RUF BTR-style front end and “tea tray” rear spoiler.

Completing the look are vented rear fenders and 17” RUF Speedline wheels along with Sport Seats in Black leather with Porsche crests embroidered on the headrests and a MOMO shift knob on the inside. Out back, the turbocharged 3.3-liter has been modified with MoTeC engine management, a larger intercooler, dual KKK K26 turbochargers, a modified oil sump, and K&N filters, and has recently had the alternator rebuilt and the oil-pressure sender unit and fuel pumps and hoses replaced along with other work. Such a cool build, but, and it’s a big but, the car was located in South Africa.

With 144,000 km (~90k miles) on the odometer, this 930 was pushing towards the far end of the mileage range. The closest comps I have are a few cars in the 70k-mile range that sold around $90-125,000 over the last six months. Our Spotlight car sold at a final bid of $122,000, which is right on the money, but a bit surprising for a car out of South Africa. It looks like the buyer was local, though, as they had a chance to get behind the wheel prior to bidding. Well done on a very cool car.
