1986 944
Was low miles enough to set a new mileage high

Making its debut in 1985 for the 1986 model year, Porsche’s 944 Turbo was a high-performance evolution of the standard 944 with its 2.5-liter inline-four producing 217 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque thanks to a KKK K26 turbocharger. This enhanced performance, combined with better aerodynamics improved high-speed stability and handling, cementing the 944 Turbo as one of the most capable and well-balanced front-engined sports cars of its era.
This 1986 944 Turbo came finished in Alpine White over a Burgundy leather interior and showed just 37,000 miles on the odometer. It looked to be in very good condition as evidenced by hundreds of detailed photos in the gallery which included even paint meter readings along with extensive service records with recent servicing including a timing belt replacement and battery replacement in 2022 and Koni shocks installed in 2023.
Over the past twelve months average prices have hovered around the $27,000 mark, a bit softer than the peak of just over $28,000 in the summer of 2022. Recent comps have been in the $45,000 to $49,000 for examples around 40,000 miles, but our Spotlight car hammered at a final bid of $41k. Well bought here.
