1991 911 Turbo

A deal for one of the best color combos we've seen

The early Porsche 964 Turbos marked a transitional chapter in the Turbo lineage after a long run for the original 930. Although Porsche engineers had been developing a new turbocharged engine for the 964 platform, it wasn’t ready in time for the car’s debut. As a result, the first 964 Turbo—launched in 1990—carried over the proven 3.3-liter flat-six from the 930 Turbo. With refinements, output rose to 320 bhp at 5,750 rpm and 362 lb-ft of torque at 4,800 rpm, making it the world’s fastest-accelerating production car at the time. Production of the Turbo 3.3 ended in 1992, paving the way for the more powerful and rare 964 Turbo 3.6 introduced in 1993.

This 1991 911 Turbo was originally delivered to Saudi Arabia and came finished in striking Cobalt Blue Metallic over a Linen and Blue leather interior with Light Rootwood trim for one of the most beautiful interiors I’ve seen. With 68,827 km (~43k miles) on the odometer, the car looks to be in excellent condition with plenty of detailed photos in the gallery including service history and paint meter readings.

Turbo 3.3 averages have been inching up over the past twelve months and currently sit at just over $200,000 with a number of recent sales nearly doubling that. With the miles, $400k was out of the question, but I didn’t think $300k was as a number of mileage comps have seen bids around $280,000. Our Spotlight car sold at a final bid of $265,250. With a color combo like this, I think the winning bidder got themselves a bit of a deal.
