1992 911 Carrera RS Clubsport Modified

This hodgepodge of 964 RS' is the deal of the year

Porsche’s 964 Carrera RS is rare enough, as just 2,276 cars were produced over a two year production run. Of those, 290 were equipped with the M003 Clubsport option, which reduced weight through the removal of sound deadening material, a stripped interior, and lightweight door panels. Also referred to as the N/GT, the car also included an upgraded suspension with adjustable anti-roll bars and a lower ride height for more precise handling. Basically, a race-ready 964 Carrera RS.

This 1992 911 Carrera RS is one such M003-equipped examples and is finished in Blutengelb with a Shell racing livery. While being an M003 car is special, this RS has been modified with an RSR 3.8-liter flat-six, and engine from just ~130 cars produced that features uprated camshafts, bigger valves, and a higher compression ratio. Other modifications to this 41,000 km (~25k mile) RS include three-piece BBS wheels, 993 Turbo front brake calipers, Bilstein adjustable coilovers with remote reservoirs, a Lifeline fire suppression system, and so much more.

Obviously comps for this one are few and far between. Had this been your normal Carrera RS with 25,000 miles, the minimum cost of entry would be ~$225k. Had this been a 25,000 mile N/GT, add another $100k to that number. And had this been an original RSR 3.8, you’re looking at six figures. So for this Carrera RS N/GT with an RSR 3.8 engine to sell at $155,000, my mind is blown. Yes, that number is on the high side for your typical 964 race car. But this one was built from cars with some serious pedigree. Probably the deal of the year.
