1993 911 Carrera 4 30th Anniversary Jubilee Edition

Was it the color that kept this Jubi on the low end of bids?

Built to celebrate 30 years of the Porsche 911, the 30th Anniversary “Jubilee” Edition was limited to just 911 examples and offered everywhere, except the US (of course). Based on the Carrera 4, the Jubilee featured a Turbo wide body, extended hand-stitched Rubicon Grey leather interior, and was offered in an exclusive color of Viola Metallic.

The original Swiss owner of this 1993 911 Carrera 4 30th Anniversary Jubilee Edition, however, did not take Porsche up on those special colors, instead choosing to have their car finished in Polar Silver Metallic over Black Leather. The car shows 103,404 km (~64k miles) on the odometer and looks to be in good condition with the seller disclosing paintwork on the front and rear bumpers as well as a replacement decklid grille. The engine was overhauled in 2018 with work including upgraded 993 head stud bolts, a new fan and housing, a new distributor, speed sensor, clutch, and throw-out bearing.

We really haven’t seen any Jubi’s sell this year aside from one 57,000-mile example finished in Viola Metallic selling for $200,964 back in January of this year. Since then, the only other example we’ve seen was this car, twice, when it failed to sell earlier this month at a final bid of $142,013 before failing to sell yet again at a final bid of $140,000. It’s currently offered at $200k in PCARMARKET’s Deal Tank, which is a stretch for a car with this mileage, and one not finished in awesome Viola Metallic. I’d imagine an offer of around $175k would be reasonable here. We shall see.
