1993 911 RS America

Big money for a Black RSA thanks to the mileage

Produced exclusively for the North American market, the 911 RS America was a lightweight, driver-focused version of the 964 Carrera 2 that stripped away non-essential features like rear seats and power options to focus on performance and simplicity. Designed for purists, the RS America featured an upgraded sport suspension with stiffer springs and shocks along with unique details such as fabric door pull straps and manually adjustable sport seats.

Kicking off our trio of low-mileage 911s, this 1993 911 RS America sported an incredibly low 15,000 miles on the odometer. The car came finished in Black over a Black cloth interior and featured two out of the four options offered for the car: Air Conditioning, and Stereo (which has been replaced with a Porsche Classic unit). As you’d expect for the mileage, the car was in impeccable condition as evidenced by hundreds of detailed photos, paint meter readings, service records, and original accessories.

After a steep run up in value from 2020 till the summer of 2022, RS America averages have hovered in the $150-165,000 range for the last few years with a high of $302,000* for a 6,600-mile example in White that sold at last year’s Air|Water sale. Over the last five years, all other examples to cross the $250,000 mark have been finished in colors other than Black, until now, with our Spotlight car hammering at a final bid of $255,000 after failing to sell twice last year at $155,964 and $240,000. Simply lovely.
