1993 911 Turbo 3.6

How did this RoW example do being located in the RoW?

Originally, Porsche’s 964 Turbo was supposed to have an all-new 3.6-liter M64 powerplant at launch, but due to a delay, the first cars came equipped with a 3.3-liter Turbocharged flat-six from the previous generation 930. It wasn’t until 1993 that the 3.6 arrived on the scene, and left shortly thereafter as the 964 Turbo ended production in 1994. During that time, roughly 1,500 cars were produced, making them highly sought after by collectors.

This 1993 911 Turbo 3.6 was originally sold in Belgium followed by a stint in Germany, then onto the Netherlands, and back to Germany, with the seller’s hope of someone bringing it to the US. Finished in Black Metallic over a Carrera Grey Special Leather interior, this 176,000 km (~109k mile) looked to be in nice condition and was well represented with hundreds of detailed photos, paint meter readings, service stamps in the booklet, and recent records. A nice example, even with some miles.

Turbo 3.6s have seen quite the rise over the last five years, but have started to flatten out around the $380,000 mark. Over the last twelve months, we’ve seen a high bid of $621,000 for a Cobalt Blue example with 24k on the odometer and a 95k-mile example that failed to sell at $220k for the lowest bid honors. With the highest miles we’ve seen in that time period plus being listed in Germany, it’s no surprise that our Spotlight car was bid to $217,800. Market correct in my opinion.
