1994 911 Turbo 3.6

This Bad Boy sold right on the money

Originally, Porsche’s 964 Turbo was supposed to have an all-new 3.6-liter M64 powerplant at launch, but due to a delay, the first cars came equipped with a 3.3-liter Turbocharged flat-six from the previous generation 930. It wasn’t until 1993 that the 3.6 arrived on the scene, and left shortly thereafter as the 964 Turbo ended production in 1994. During that time, roughly 1,500 cars were produced, making them highly sought after by collectors.

This 1994 911 Turbo 3.6 was finished in Black over a Cashmere leather interior and showed just 33,000 miles on the odometer. The car appears to be in very good condition with the seller noting paintwork on the front bumper and touchups on the fenders along with renewed clear coat. The engine was rebuilt under prior ownership and the suspension system features aftermarket parts as does the exhaust system, which features Billy Boat race pipes.

The 3.6-liter 964 Turbo market has been on a steady climb over the past five years going from an average price of just over $200,000 to sit just below $400,000 today. And while the average is “just” $400k, we see quite a few cars closing in on $500k plus. Our Spotlight car wasn’t one of those, though, as it sold at a final bid of $375,000. Even though we had a car with similar miles sell for a bit more this year, I’d call this one a fair deal as it had average miles and was in average condition. No paint and more of a service history would have pushed this one over that $400k edge.
