1995 968 Coupe
A final-year 968, or was it?

Porsche’s 968, produced from 1992 to 1995, was the final chapter in Porsche’s transaxle era, blending front-engine practicality with a rear-mounted transmission for balance. As an evolution of the 944, it featured a 3.0-liter inline-four, one of the most powerful naturally aspirated four-cylinder engines of its time, and a refined design with integrated bumpers and pop-up headlights. Marking the end of Porsche’s transaxle lineage, the 968 represented the culmination of decades of innovation, offering superb handling and timeless looks that still resonate today.
This 1995 968 Coupe came finished in Grand Prix White over a beautiful Chestnut Brown leather interior. It showed just 59,000 miles on the odometer and looked to be in nice condition with some paintwork showing on the hood and rear fender and plenty of service records. And while this example was listed as a 1995, it was really a 1994 production car according to the VIN, as “Porsche figured out an innovative way to push built 968s into the upcoming model year”. Gotta love the comment section sometimes.
Tiptronic-equipped 968 Coupes have seen a bit of a surge over the last twelve months going from an average price of just over $13,000 to sit at just shy of $23,000 today. Our Spotlight car sold at a final bid of $30,218, beating that average and setting a new twelve-month high along the way.
