1995 968 Coupe 6-Speed
The end of the road for transaxle P-Cars

1995 stood as a significant milestone in Porsche’s history as it marked the final model year of the brands transaxle era that began with the 924 in the ‘70s, and ended with the 968. With its perfect 50/50 weight distribution, smooth power delivery from its 3.0L inline-four, and refined transaxle design, the 968 represented a fitting end before Porsche transitioned to the mid-engine platform of the Boxster.
This 1995 958 Coupe 6-Speed was one of less than 300 coupes produced for the North American market and came finished in Black Metallic over a Marble Gray partial leather interior. It showed 87,000 miles on the odometer and looked to be in nice condition inside and out and included a handful of service records, with the latest being a $3,900 bill from 2019.
Manual 968 Coupes have been on a bit of a decline over the past few years going from an average of $39,000 in the fall of 2022 to sit at $29,500 today. Our Spotlight car sold just above that average at a final bid of $31,250, but could have done more had it had more recent service history and a clean CarFax. Still, a nice example that brought a fair price in today’s market. Solid sale for both buyer and seller.
