1996 911 Carrera RS
Our second 993 RS in a few weeks, lucky us!
Two 993 Carrera RS sales in only a few weeks? Yes please! The 993 Carrera RS was the homologation special that homologated the 993 Carrera Cup 3.8 RSR for racing and features a 3.8-liter M64/20 flat-six engine housed within seam-welded bodywork along with a lightweight interior, lowered adjustable suspension, a limited-slip differential, 18” Speedline wheels, and brakes from the 911 Turbo. And with only 1,104, these are the stuff dreams are made of.
This 1996 911 Carrera RS comes to market out of Antwerp, Belgium, and shows 73,195km (~45k miles) on the odometer. It is finished in Polar Silver Metallic over a Black interior and features a genuine Matter roll cage, Clubsport rear spoiler, and aftermarket TechArt exhaust tips.
The Polar Silver Metallic paint shows in very good condition with the seller noting that all is original aside from the front right fender. The interior is nice as well showing only minor wear and a crack in the sunvisor as noted on the included inspection report. Said inspection report from Porsche Classic Centre Antwerp notes the car is in very good mechanical condition and early stampings can be found in the service booklet.
Carrera RS have averaged just under $400,000 over the last twelve months with a high of $578,324 for a 10,000-mile example sold out of the UK earlier this year. The previous RS was a ~26k-mile car that sold for $370,000 just a few weeks ago, which makes the final bid of $310,000 for this ~45k-mile example seem pretty good, especially since it’s being sold out of Belgium. Overall, a very nice example given the mileage. Well sold, IMO.
