1998 911 Carrera S Cabriolet 6-Speed

So how did the market price this one-of-one widebody Cab.?

While this may look like just your average 993 Cabriolet, it is actually the only example fitted with with the Turbo wide-body found on the 993 Carrera S Coupe. This true one-of-one 1998 911 Carrera S Cabriolet was built by Porsche Exclusive for a Porsche VIP and is finished in Guards Red over a Black Nappa leather interior with special Flamenco Red carpeting. With just 16,436 km (~10k miles) on the odometer, and coming out of a prominent Porsche collection, you can only imagine the condition of this collector-quality example.

It’s tough to put a price on such a special car, but if this were just your run-of-the-mill Cab., it would have been up there with the recent high sale of $162,400 for The White Collection’s Cab. back in December. And if this were your average 993 Carrera S Coupe, $220,000+ wouldn’t have been out of the question. So the fact that this special car hammered at $360,000, $401,000 with buyer’s premium, shouldn’t have been a surprise. A fair price for a cool piece of Porsche history.
