2000 911 Carrera 4 Millennium Edition 6-Speed

A little more effort could have gone a long way

In 1999, Porsche marked the turn of the century with the special 911 “Millennium Edition,” based on the Carrera 4 coupe. Limited to just 911 units, this special 996 featured unique Violet Chromaflair paint, which shifts from dark violet to light green under different lighting conditions. Along with the special paint, the Millennium Edition also featured 18” chrome ‘Turbo Twist’ wheels, a Natural Brown Leather interior, and Burl Maple trim.

This 2000 911 Carrera 4 Millennium Edition 6-speed is number 433 of the 911 examples produced and shows just 5,000 miles on the odometer. From the limited images in the gallery, the car looks to be in good condition although more detailed photos and paint meter readings would have been helpful.

On the inside, the Natural Brown interior looks to be in good condition, but again, photos were a bit limited. In preparation for the sale, the seller replaced the clutch, tires, and an oil-fed IMS bearing kit was installed.

Over the last twelve months, average pricing for Millennium editions has been just above $40,000 with a high of $49,500 for a 52,000-mile Millennium Edition with an Aerokit. And while our Spotlight car was sans-Aerokit, it did have way less miles. However, it didn’t beat out the Aerokit car as it hammered at a final bid of $47,250. Had the seller provided more detailed photos of the car including paint meter readings, I think this example could have topped $50k. Well bought if everything checks out.
