2001 911 Turbo Coupe 6-Speed
How are Porsche's first Mezger-engined Turbos fairing in today's market?
The 996 Turbo marked a new era for the Turbo line as it was the first Turbo equipped with Porsche’s legendary Mezger engine, delivering 415 horsepower and renowned for its durability and performance lineage from Porsche’s Le Mans-winning GT1 car. This powerplant, combined with an improved all-wheel-drive system, provided exceptional grip and stability, making the 996 Turbo a versatile, all-weather supercar. Enhanced with Porsche Stability Management (PSM) and aerodynamic refinements, the 996 Turbo set a new benchmark for the 911’s performance capabilities, bridging the gap between Porsche’s storied past and its future.
This 2001 911 Turbo Coupe 6-Speed was finished in Slate Grey Metallic over a Black interior and showed 60,680 miles on the odometer. It came optioned with a Carbon Interior Package and has been modified with a GT2-style front bumper, a Strosek-style rear wing, Champion Motorsport RS98 wheels, Brembo “Big Brakes,” a Markski engine tune, and a Remus exhaust system. The car looks to be in good condition all around and has been well-serviced as evidenced by the service records provided.
Over the last twelve months, 996 Turbo Coupes have dipped slightly, going from an average sale price of $70,000 to around $65,000 today. Cars in the 60k-mile range have been on either side of the $60k mark, making this one about right at a final bid of $56,000, especially considering the modifications. Fair deal for a nice Turbo.
