2002 911 Carrera 4S Coupe 6-Speed
Can this low-mileage C4S buck the softer trend in the 996 market?
Although the 996 gets a lot of hate for its fried-egg headlights and shared components with the Boxster, I’m sure even the haters can agree that the Carrera 4S is the best-looking variant out there. Yes, I might be a little biased, but the rear end just looks oh-so-good.
This 2002 911 Carrera 4S Coupe 6-Speed is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Boxster Red Special Leather interior and shows just 8,000 miles. Factory options include Advanced Technic & Design Packages along with Sport Seats with Painted Backs. Not from the factory is a set of H&R springs and a replacement IMS Bearing that was installed in 2019.
As you would expect for such a low mileage example, the car is in pristine condition and comes with even paint meter readings (held by white gloves!), service records, and original window sticker.
The 996 market has softened since peaking in the summer of 2022 and the market for C4S’ is no exception. Average prices have gone from a peak of $43,000 towards the end of 2022 to just over $40,000 today. Back then, $60,000+ examples were plenty, including our Spotlight car that sold for $75,250 back in August of 2022, but we’ve only seen two sell examples sell for over $60k in the last twelve months.
Our Spotlight car sold this time around at a high bid of $70,000, $8k short of the other 8,000-mile example that sold in April earlier this year. I’d say well bought, but I do think these will soften a bit further before we see them go up again. So well bought if they hold onto it.
