2005 Carrera GT

A solid price for this stunning color combination

Even if you’re not an uber-Porsche-nerd, you know just how special Porsche’s Carrera GT as it is considered one of the last great analog cars with its 6-speed manual transmission, carbon-fiber tub, and 5.7-liter V10. That is the stuff legends are made of.

This 2005 Carrera GT is finished in a super-rare color combination of Fayence Yellow over an Ascot Brown leather interior. Roughly forty-four CGTs were ordered in Fayence Yellow and of those fourty-four, only four had an Ascot interior. Easily one of the best color combinations on a Carrera GT.

Being that this car was sold at Barrett-Jackson, pictures and information on the website are limited. From what I can see, this 3,500-mile example looks to be in good condition, but lacks very many up close pictures or disclosures as to condition. Also missing is any information regarding luggage or any other accessories that should come with the car. That being said, I’m sure the info is there for bidders on site in Arizona.

The Carrera GT market has had a rough start to the new year with the first two examples failing to sell at auction. The last sale we saw was for a 601-mile example finished in GT Silver Metallic over Ascot Brown that sold for $1,781,420 in November of last year.

Our Spotlight car hammered down at $1,700,000, just shy of that twelve-month high in November. With fees though, the total price comes to $1,870,000, or about $80k more than the November sale with its BaT fees. A solid price for a special car, but had this been 2022, I’m sure we would have easily seen $2m+ as this color combination is definitely something special. Well bought for now, and long as they keep the mileage off, I’m sure there will be some upside during the next push upwards. Me though, I’d drive the snot out of it. Damn the future gains.
