2006 911 Carrera S Coupe 6-Speed
Never bet against an Aerokit, even if it is aftermarket
Porsche’s second-generation water-cooled 911 came in May 2004 when photos of the all-new 997 were released prior to the global launch. Wearing round headlights once again, the new 911 had a more curvaceous body, completely new interior, and the choice of either a 3.6-liter flat-six or 3.8-liter flat-six in the Carrera S variant. Quite the look back to 911 history, and move forward over the 996 it replaced.
This 2006 911 Carrera S Coupe 6-speed is finished in Atlas Gray Metallic over a Stone Grey Full Leather interior and is optioned from the factory with Sport Chrono Package Plus, PCM Navigation, BOSE, and Aluminum bits. Not from the factory is the addition of an Aerokit-style front bumper and rear wing as well as a GT3-specification shifter, an IPD intake plenum, RSS engine mounts, and NHP headers and 200-cell catalytic converters.
The Atlas Gray Metallic paint is in nice condition with only the slight imperfections you would expect for any 45,000-mile 911. The interior is in very good condition showing minimal wear in areas such as seat bolsters and dashboard buttons.
Mechanically, this car has been well kept and comes with a stack of service records with the most recent showing the spark plugs and coil packs replaced in February of 2024. And for those of us who live in states where 200-cell cats are a no-no, the seller includes the removed exhaust components as well as original intake plenum and engine mounts.
The 997.1 Carrera S Coupe market has been on a slight decline since the summer of 2022 going from an average price of just over $51,000 to an average of $48,000 today.
With average mileage, our Spotlight car sold at an above average price hammering down at $57,000, the highest price paid in the last six months for any example over 32,000 miles. The addition of the Aerokit bits, excellent service history, and overall condition of the car played a part in the strong number. Well sold.
