2007 911 Turbo Coupe 6-Speed

A pair of modern Turbos took a bit of a hit yesterday, but at least the Sellers weren't the Safari guy

When the 997 Turbo launched at the Geneva Motor Show in February of 2006, it made waves throughout the automotive world as it was quite the upgrade over the previous generation 996 Turbo. New to the 997 Turbo was the use of Variable Turbine Geometry turbos, which changed the angle of attack on the turbo’s guide vanes depending on exhaust speed, and the option Sport Chrono Package which allowed the Turbo to overboost for ten seconds. The new car was also 90 lbs lighter thanks to extensive use of aluminum, and an additional 37 lbs could be saved with the optional PCCB brakes.

This 2007 911 Turbo Coupe 6-speed is finished in GT Silver Metallic over Black leather. It has 47,600 miles on the odometer and optional Rear Differential Lock, Heated Front Seats, Full Leather, and Sport Chrono Package Turbo. While there are not many options, it has the few performance-minded ones that matter.

The exterior is in good condition, with notes of a few chips filled in and minor dings. The CarFax reports no accidents, but paint meter readings are absent from the listing. On the inside, the Black leather shows regular signs of wear, and all trim, buttons, and carpet also appear in good condition. Mechanically, I don’t think you could ask for a better-kept car, as every nut and bolt replaced was with genuine Porsche parts, as evident in the extensive service history provided. Overall a lovely example of a 997 Turbo.

Even in this softening market for 997.1 Turbos, the winning bid of $78,497 was an absolute steal that I did not see coming and is the lowest price paid for a car between 40 and 50,000 miles. The service alone should have put this one about $15k higher. Congrats to the buyer, as they got one hell of a car at a price you’d expect to see with a lot more miles.
