2007 Cayman S 6-Speed

Is there a better Porsche for sub-$30k now?

This time last year, the first-generation Cayman S market started to show signs that averages could be heading below the $30,000 mark, and while they did dip below that mark for a brief time at the beginning of 2024, they jumped back up shortly thereafter. But since May of this year, averages have gone back below the $30,000 mark and have stayed there.

This 2007 Cayman S 6-Speed is finished in Black over a Sand Beige leather interior, shows 63,000 miles on the odometer, and comes from the factory with Heated Sport Seats, Sport Chrono Package, and BOSE. The car is very well presented with hundreds of detailed photos in the gallery including recent service and code readouts. Condition-wise, this example does show some wear, especially in the interior with a worn driver’s seat bolster, scratches on the door panels, and discoloration on the center console. And speaking of code readouts, for whatever reason the airbag indicator light has been programmed to remain off. 🤔

Our Spotlight car sold at a final bid of $22,755, making it one of the lowest prices paid for a Cayman S in the mileage range. But given the wear, and the airbag light, probably about right. Even if this one were absolutely perfect, though, it still would have been below $30k. Is there a better Porsche for that money?
