2008 911 GT2
Another Day, Another GT2. This time, a 997 GT2 with a lot less leather and a whole lot more miles.

Another day, another GT2. This time a 2008 997 GT2. The 997 GT2 featured an engine based on the Turbo with the new variable geometry turbocharges producing 523 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque. With that kind of power, the car was wicked fast, with a 3.6 second 0 to 62 mph time and a top speed of 200 mph. With similar production numbers to the 996 at around 1,200 examples built worldwide, the 997 had about 100 fewer brought to the US, making it even rarer.
Our Spotlight car, this 2008 911 GT2, is finished in Black over Black leather and Alcantara and features PCCB brakes, Sport Chrono Package, Carbon-Fiber Sports Seats, BOSE, PCM Navigation, and Carbon-Fiber Interior Trim. Unlike yesterday’s example, though, this car is not equipped with crazy amounts of leather and is on the higher side of the mileage spectrum, with 22,000 miles on the odometer.
The car is in exceptional condition with a clean CarFax report and paint meter readings, plenty of service history, and a DME report. The Interior, engine bay and undercarriage are all very nice, making this a solid example one can enjoy without worrying about the mileage.
It sold at a high bid of $236,000, and although some in the comments section thought this was a steal, it was right in line with recent comps. Yes, a higher mileage example sold for ~$255k recently, but that car was finished in White and had a worked 3.8-liter engine. Other bids over the past year have been in the $225k range, but the condition here was worth the extra money. Congrats to both parties.
