2011 911 GT3

Is the 997.2 the best GT3? Bidders seem to think so

Making its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 2009, the 997.2 GT3 was a huge step up from its dot-two predecessor as it featured a bump in horsepower to 435 bhp thanks to an increase in engine size to 3.8-liters from 3.6. Other changes included stiffer springs and anti-roll bars as well as aerodynamic updates for not just a more powerful car, but more dynamic and refined as well.

This 2011 911 GT3 is finished in Black over a Black Full Leather & Alcantara interior and shows 18,000 miles on the odometer. It features PCCB brakes, Sport Chrono Package Plus, Sound Package Plus, Front-Axle lift, and more from Porsche along with a set of aftermarket Rennline pedals. The listing was pretty limited in the way of photos but looked to be in pretty good condition from what I could see. The CarFax was clean and showed 26 service records but paint meter readings and service invoices were not included in the gallery.

997.2 GT3s have continued to rise, almost doubling from an average of just over $90k back in 2020 to almost $170,000 today. And although this example wasn’t the lowest mileage car on offer over the last twelve months, it was still achieved a remarkable result compared to comps at a final bid of $198,000. Well sold, especially for lack of info in the listing.
