2012 911 Carrera GTS 6-Speed

Why didn't this example do as well as its twin?

Making its debut at the Paris Motor Show, the all-new 997.2 Carrera GTS was the pinnacle of the normally-aspirated non-GT 911 range with its 408 hp 3.8-liter flat six. And not only was the new GTS more powerful, it also displayed excellent vehicle dynamics thanks in part to its wider stance from the Carrera 4 body, but with rear-wheel-drive.

This 2012 911 Carrera GTS 6-Speed is finished in Carrara White over a Black leather interior and shows 56,000 miles on the odometer. It was optioned from the factory with PASM, Carbon interior bits, and Sport Chrono Package. Not from the factory are an Aerokit front bumper cover, GT3 RS-style side skirts, 19″ center-lock wheels, a European-style rear bumper cover, a GT3 steering wheel, carbon-fiber sport front bucket seats, RS-style door pulls, red seatbelts, a short shifter, and a Shark Werks exhaust system.

The Carrara White paint looks to be in good condition from the photos in the gallery and shows even paint meter readings on the panels. The interior is in nice shape as well with just some of the carbon trim deforming above the glovebox. The car was recently serviced in October 2023 and had spark plugs replaced around the 50k mark and a leak-down test in 2017.

Prices for 997.2 GTS have hovered around the $100,000 mark for most of the year with the exception of a gorgeous Macadamia Metallic car with 23k miles hammering way above average at $166,500 and a recent comp with 56,000 miles selling for $138,000. Our Spotlight car sold at a final bid of $101,000, and was extremely similar with regards to modifications to the car that sold for $138k. So was this one stolen or was the prior sale just very well sold? Based on comps, our 56,000-mile is more in line with the current market. Fair deal here.
