2012 911 Turbo Coupe 6-Speed

Did this 997 Turbo finally break the no-sale streak.

The 997.2 Turbo took the significantly upgraded 997.1 and refined it both mechanically, and cosmetically for what would become the last of the analog Turbos. It’s new 3.8-liter engine was designed from the ground up and came with Direct Fuel Injection and an efficiency-enhancing intake manifold producing 500 horsepower. On the outside, the model featured a new front end with larger intakes, LED turn signal bars, and LED daytime running lights incorporated into the front bumper. Just enough of a face-lift to enhance the styling of the 997.

This 8,000-mile 2012 911 Turbo Coupe 6-speed is finished in Carrara White over a Carrera Red Natural Leather interior and features Porsche’s Aluminum Look Interior Package, Adaptive Sport Seats, PCCB brakes, Sport Chrono Turbo Package, and much more for an original MSRP of $165,130.

The Carrara White paint is in excellent condition with paint meter readings showing no sign of paintwork on the car and the only noted blemishes on the exterior being on the wheels, which are easily fixed. The Carrera Red interior is beautiful and shows hardly any wear on the seats and bolsters.

Mechanically, the car has been well kept and comes with a number of service records along with a DME report. Also with the car are a full set of books, original window sticker, a perfect set of Carrera Red floor mats, and original turn signal lenses which were removed in place of a set of clear markers. An absolutely beautiful example of what would become Porsche’s last manual Turbo.

Over the last five years, 997.2 6-speed prices have surged from an average of $90,000 to an average of $140,000 at the end of last year. Why the end of last year? Well, we haven’t had a 6-speed 997.2 Turbo Coupe sell since November of 2023, and not due to a lack of cars.

The lowest mileage Turbo to sell in the last twelve months was a 20,000-mile example that brought $165,000 in July of last year and the lowest mileage car to not sell was a 253-mile example that was bid to $294,000 in December. Our Spotlight car kept that no-sale streak alive as it failed to sell at a high bid of $203,997. Should the seller have taken the bid? I would have pegged this one a little further above $200k, but without a single sale this year, maybe that was all the money.

TOGETHER WITH PORSCHE SALT LAKE CITY

There are many Porsche Centers here in the US, and then there are PORSCHE Centers.
