2014 Cayenne 6-Speed

Row, row, row your SUV

Introduced in 2010, Porsche’s 958.1 Cayenne showcased a sleeker and more aerodynamic exterior design along with an upgrade to its power plant options, with the 3.6-liter V6 engine in the base car going from 290 horsepower to 300, offering improved performance and efficiency. The Cayenne also had a significant weight reduction - up to 400 pounds lighter than the previous generation - adding to the improved agility and overall driving dynamics. Also offered on the new Cayenne, a 6-speed manual transmission, an option that would disappear on the following model.

This 2014 Cayenne is one such 6-speed-equipped example. It came finished in Dark Blue Metallic over a Luxor Beige leather interior, showed just 35,000 miles on the odometer, and came optioned with a Sunroof, PCM, and some stainless steel bits for an original MSRP of $62,265. The car looked to be in very nice condition as evidenced by the hundreds of photos in the gallery, which also included plenty of service records. Overall, a very nice example in a striking color combination, low miles, and a rare 6-speed.

And that rare 6-speed is the reason I’m showcasing this Cayenne as today’s Spotlight car, as there aren’t many four-door Porsche’s that perform in the market like these. The last time we saw this example was in April of this year when it sold at a final bid of $37,250. It sold at a final bid of $40,350 this time around, not just beating its previous sale, but also setting a new twelve-month high on its way. Well sold, but the market for 6-Speed SUVs appears to be strong.
