2015 918 Spyder

Even with a bit of mileage, Spyders are still stronger than ever

The Porsche 918 Spyder debuted as a concept at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show and entered production in 2013 as Porsche’s groundbreaking plug-in hybrid hypercar. Powered by a 4.6-liter V8 paired with two electric motors, it delivered a combined 887 horsepower and could sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds. With a carbon fiber monocoque and cutting-edge tech, the 918 Spyder redefined what a supercar could be in the modern era.

This 2015 918 Spyder came finished in White with Black Salzburg livery and showed 1,600 miles on the odometer. It came optioned with Porsche’s Weissach Package, Front Axle Lift, and $15,600 in Custom Tailoring for an original MSRP of $963,000. As you’d expect, the car presented in excellent condition and received quite the service in September of 2024 from Porsche South Shore. An excellent example of Porsche’s entry into the “holy trinity” of hypercars of the era.

Over the past twelve months 918 Spyders have averaged $2.2m with a high of $2.9m for a 457-mile example sold at Broad Arrow’s Air|Water auction this time last year. Our Spotlight car had a bit more mileage, but still brought a strong bid, especially compared to other Weissach-equipped comps, hammering at a final bid of $2,610,000.
