The timing was right for this special 911

How could the last car I write about before boarding a plane for Monterey NOT be this 2016 911 Carrera GTS Rennsport Reunion Edition? Based on the outgoing 991 Carrera GTS, the Rennsport Reunion Edition was limited to 25 units worldwide and was built to commemorate the 2015 event.
The exterior is finished Fashion Grey, a custom color with roots dating back to the 356, and features black and red stripes running from the hood back and Porsche script along the sides. It rides on 20” Sport Classic Wheels finished in Gloss Black with a painted lip.
Inside, you’ll find Black leather with Black Alcantara seat inserts and red stitching throughout. Carbon fiber door sills identify the edition, as does the RRV logo embossed on the armrest. Other options include 18-way adjustable sports seats, Sport Design steering wheel, Sport Chrono Package, Bose, and navigation.
With 2,300 miles on the odometer, our Spotlight car is the highest mileage example offered over the last five years and the only example to hit the auction block since February of 2022, when the model peaked just shy of $210,000 after a strong run starting in 2020 when these could be had for less than $150k.
Even though it’s the highest mileage example, it’s still very low, and as you can guess, the car is presented in collector-grade condition. At a final bid of $192,000, I’d say this was a fair deal based on the mileage and well-timed, with the festivities kicking off tomorrow. See you at Laguna!
