2016 911 GT3 RS
Did the "non-collision event" affect the price of this Purple RS?
The 991.1 Porsche 911 GT3 RS retained the 500-horsepower output of its predecessor, the 997.2 GT3 RS, but delivered significant enhancements to performance. Its 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine featured a broader torque curve and a higher redline of 8,800 rpm, offering a more exhilarating and responsive driving experience. Paired with Porsche’s 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission, the 991.1 traded the 997.2’s manual gearbox for faster, more precise shifts. Combined with advanced aerodynamics, rear-axle steering, and a wider track, the 991.1 GT3 RS brought cutting-edge chassis improvements that made it faster, more stable, and even more thrilling on the track.
This 2016 911 GT3 RS was finished in Ultraviolet over a Black and showed 7,900 miles on the odometer. This Canadian-market example came optioned from the factory with PDLS+ lights, PCCB brakes, Front Axle Lift, Sport Chrono, and more for an original MSRP of $241,630. The car looked to be in very nice condition and came with service records on the CarFax and PPF film, but has older tires and a “non-collision event” on the CarFax resulting in the replacement of the front splitter, which was damaged during shipping.
991.1 GT3 RS have held pretty steady over the past twelve months with average prices hovering right around $185,000 and a high of $230,000 for a 21-mile example in August of this year. Our Spotlight car sold at a final bid of $180,000, which was right on the money for the 7,900 miles on the odometer. It looks like the “non-collision event” and original Canadian citizenship didn’t matter as the price paid was right on the money. Fair deal.
