2018 911 GT3
A strong result for a dot-two PDK
Typically, your dot-two 911s are a little bump in power and a slight facelift. But for the 991.2 GT3, Porsche made extensive changes to the engine using a 4.0-liter flat-six derived from the 911 GT3 R and Cup race cars. Of course, there were also the “facelift” changes, but along with the engine, the big news for the 991.2 was the return of the manual transmission.
Today’s Spotlight car, this 2018 911 GT3, is finished in Guards Red over Black and shows just 5,400 miles on the odometer. It is well-optioned with Porsche’s 7-speed PDK transmission, Light Design Package, Carbon Fiber Interior Package, Sport Seats with Shells Trimmed in Leather, Front Axle Lift System, PCCB brakes, and more.
The car appears in good condition, but it’s tough to tell from the limited number of pictures in the auction’s gallery. This is typical of in-person auctions, though. Just some beauty shots and highlights to bring people in.
But it must have been in very nice condition as it hammered down at a final bid of $187,500, well above our average price of $174,000 and not far off from the top sale achieved in the last twelve months. Solid sale down there in Kissimmee.
