2019 935
I made my prediction, the price was right, Bob
The 2019 Porsche 935 is a track-only, limited-production car that pays homage to the legendary 935/78 “Moby Dick.” With only 77 units produced, this exclusive model features a powerful 700-horsepower, twin-turbo flat-six engine from the 911 GT2 RS and showcases a striking design that merges modern aerodynamics with classic race car aesthetics.
This 2019 935 wears carbon-composite bodywork wrapped in the historic Interscope Racing livery and shows just 159 kilometers (~99 miles) on the odometer. With such low mileage, as you would expect, the car is in near-perfect condition and includes some of the best photography we’ve seen with the car racing through NYC.
We’ve seen this particular 935 a number of times over the years, first selling at Gooding & Company’s 2022 Monterey sale for $1,462,500 all-in followed by a sale on Bring a Trailer in November 2023, where it hammered at $1,626,000, the current high watermark for the model at auction. During the Bid Nerds show last week I had this one failing to sell at $1.4m, and I was close, as it failed to sell at a final bid of $1,485,000. Closest without going over wins, right?
