2021 718 Cayman GTS 4.0

The last of the N/A Caymans

Making its debut in early 2020, Porsche answered our car-loving prayers by replacing the turbocharged four-banger in the 718 GTS with a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated engine delivering 395 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque. This return to a flat-six powerplant offered enthusiasts the raw, high-revving performance and iconic exhaust note they longed for. In a world increasingly dominated by downsized turbos and electrification, the GTS 4.0 became a beacon for purists—a reminder of Porsche’s legacy of building visceral, driver-focused sports cars.

This 2021 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 is finished in a classic color combination of GT Silver Metallic over a Bordeaux Red leather interior and shows 21,000 miles on the odometer. The car looks to be in very nice condition as evidenced by the photos in the gallery, has been regularly serviced, and still has the remainder of its CPO warranty, which is good until March of this year.

Surprisingly, given that the 4.0 is most likely the last non-GT NA 718 to be produced, the market saw a bit of a decline over the past year with average prices going from $97,000 at the beginning of 2024 to sit at just over $90k today. Our Spotlight car had the highest mileage we’ve seen on an example thus far, and achieved the lowest price to boot, selling at a final bid of $79,000. But that bid wasn’t too bad, as the only other high mileage comp was a 6-Speed and sold at $80,750. Fair deal today, but we will probably see a bit more depreciation over the next few years until buyers realize they just don’t make Caymans like they used to.
