2023 718 Cayman GT4 6-Speed

Flippers flop as the market softens

Revealed in June of 2019, Porsche’s 718 Cayman GT4 featured a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six derived from the 992’s 3.0-liter engine as opposed to the turbocharged flat-four found in the standard Cayman. The GT4 also differed from the standard with its more aggressive front bumper, larger diffuser, rear wing, and front suspension and brakes from the 911 GT3. Earlier this year, Porsche announced that it was ending GT4 production with the 2024 model year as they move the Cayman/Boxster series to electric.

This 2023 718 Cayman GT4 6-speed is finished in GT Silver Metallic over Black leather and Race-Tex with Red stitching and shows just 3,100 miles on the odometer. It comes optioned with Porsche’s Sport Chrono Package, Satin Black wheels, Guards Red Seatbelts and Instrument Dials, and BOSE for an MSRP of $122,800. Missing from that option list, however, are Carbon Bucket Seats and PCCB brakes. Both options that tend to push prices up.

As you would expect for a low-mileage, nearly new car, the exterior is in very good condition, showing normal wear, such as scuffs on the underside front lip and a few stone chips behind the rear wheels. The interior is in excellent condition, as are the engine compartment and trunks.

The market for 718 GT4s has softened over the last six months, with average prices around $121,000 and a high sale of $130,000 for a sub-1,000-mile Racing Yellow example with Carbon Buckets. Our Spotlight car failed to sell at a high bid of $122,800, which was about right for the mileage and options on this one. Not sure what the seller was looking for here, but maybe a few hundred more off the block will get the deal done.
