2023 911 GT3 RS Tribute to Carrera RS

Our first ultra-rare GT3 RS brings the money

If you thought an allocation for Porsche’s 992 GT3 RS was a hard get, let me introduce you to the 911 GT3 RS Tribute to Carrera RS Package. This US-only car is limited to only 150 units and pays tribute to the 50th anniversary of Porsche’s legendary 2.7 RS with Python Green accents on the magnesium wheels, mirror caps, and graphics along with doorsill guards featuring the package name and of course, a plaque. You also get an assortment of goodies such as a Porsche Design Timepiece, custom car cover, special valve step caps, a custom license plate frame, and a pair of 1:43 scale models of your car.

This 2023 911 GT3 RS Tribute to Carrera RS Package shows 1,200 miles on the odometer, which is surprisingly nice to see, and was additionally optioned with PCCB brakes, Front Axle Lift, and more for an original MSRP of $339,190. This particular example also has Andy Preuninger’s signature under the front bonnet, which is the real value add in my book.

It sold at a final bid of $487,500, which is significantly higher than comps for non-Tribute Weissach-equipped examples. Obviously, we don’t have any exact comps, but if you consider that this car sold for almost $150,000 over MSRP and recently we saw both a Weissach car and non-Weissach car sell for around $100k over, this one looks well sold. But when you consider the rarity, and the fact that there are other GT cars selling for more (like today’s 911 R), I think we’ll be calling this one well bought in the not too distant future.
