2023 911 Targa 4 GTS 7-speed

Caught in the act

The 992 GTS occupies a sweet spot between the Carrera S and Turbo in Porsche’s lineup with its 473 hp twin-turbo flat-six and specially tuned version of Porsche’s Active Suspension Management that’s lowered by about 10mm and has stiffer springs. Along with Turbo breaks and a host of standard, sportier options on the interior, the GTS puts together a strong case as the best trim on a standard 911.

This 2023 911 Targa 4 GTS 7-speed is finished in Paint to Sample Polar Silver with an Exclusive Manufaktur Green leather interior that only a mother could love. The car shows just 505 miles on the odometer and is very well optioned with PCCB brakes, a Front Axle Lift System, Heated and ventilated Adaptive Sport Seats, Burmester Sound, and plenty of Matte Carbon for an MSRP of $249,790.

The auction was withdrawn by Bring of Trailer after commenters outed the seller for bidding on the auction themselves with another account. “Fake” bids are nothing new in the auction world, as auctioneers have used chandelier bidding for decades to either get an auction going or bring bidding up to reserve. And technically, it isn’t illegal.

But is it immoral? I have my thoughts on this, but I would love to hear yours. Reply to this email and let me know what you think.

As for this 2023 Targa 4 GTS, it looks like the seller had to do what the seller had to do, as nobody else would have specced an interior like this, let alone bid on it. But Kudos to BaT for listening to the commenters, looking into the situation, and making the right call in the end.
