2023 GT3 RS Tribute to Carrera RS

An upside down market for Porsche's US-only special

Unveiled at the 2022 12 Hours of Sebring, the 992.1 GT3 RS Tribute to Carrera RS Package is a limited-edition celebration of Porsche’s iconic 1973 Carrera RS, with just 150 units produced exclusively for the U.S. market. The package consists of two distinct components: the $20,000 Custom Tailoring Package and the $24,960 Accessory Package. These packages add elements like Python Green magnesium wheels, matching mirror caps, GT3 RS side graphics, and a special RS logo with an American flag on the wing end plates along with a special car cover, Python Green key caps and valve stem caps, license plate frames, and 1:43 scale models of both the original Carrera RS and its modern tribute.

This 2023 911 GT3 RS is one such Tribute to Carrera RS Package-equipped cars and showed just 92 miles on the odometer. Other option boxes checked included Porsche’s Weissach Package, PCCB brakes, Front Axle Lift, and more for an original MSRP of $340,330. It was in as-delivered condition and came with all of the accessories, including a collection of other 2.7 RS models in White with Green.

Like the rest of the 992.1 GT3 RS market, which has seen its average slip below the $400,000 mark over the last few months, Carrera RS Package cars have been sliding as well. The first across the block sold for $487,500 back in August of last year followed by a sale at $460,000 shortly thereafter and $445,000 in October. Our Spotlight car continued that downward trend, hammering at a final bid of $424,242. Funny enough, that first sale is the highest mileage example of them all, with 1k miles on the clock vs. sub-100-miles for the rest. I guess it pays to be first.
