2024 718 Cayman GT4 RS

Porsche’s 718 Cayman GT4 RS features a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine derived from the iconic 911 GT3 that produces an exhilarating 493 horsepower while revving up to 9,000 RPM. Its performance-oriented suspension, including Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and a lower ride height, ensures exceptional handling and precise cornering. Additionally, the GT4 RS benefits from significant weight reduction, utilizing carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) components and lightweight glass, resulting in the ultimate iteration of Porsche’s Cayman series.

This 2024 718 Cayman GT4 RS is finished in White over a Black leather & Arctic Grey Race-Tex interior and features all of the right options with Porsche’s Weissach Package, CFRP Full Bucket Seats, PCCB brakes, Satin White Gold Metallic 10” Forged Magnesium wheels, and more for an original MSRP of $218,000.

With only 19 miles on the odometer, the condition of this car is pretty much as-delivered new. The White paint is flawless as is the interior for a car that truly is, “in the wrapper.” If you were looking for a new-new GT4 RS with all the bits, this was the one.

The 718 Cayman GT4 RS market took a sharp decline from the first examples offered at auction at the beginning of 2023 but seemed to have settled over the past five months at an average price of $223,572 with a high of $246,400 (includes Buyer’s Premium) for a 1,700-mile example at Broad Arrow’s Amelia Island sale in March of this year.

But our Spotlight car not only beat Broad Arrow’s price, it sold at a new all-time auction high of $274,999, ousting bids of even the earliest cars. I guess the winning bidder just had to have it, or maybe the GT4 RS market is back now that Porsche has officially provided a date for the end of the Boxster/Cayman era. Will take a few more comps to make that a reality. Well sold.
