A New High For A 991 Club Coupe

In celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the Porsche Club of America, Porsche offered just 60 Club Coupes. Outside, the Club Coupe was finished in a unique “Club Blau” shade, featuring SportDesign bodywork, a ducktail rear spoiler, and special 20” Fuchs-style alloy wheels. The Club Coupe was trimmed in a special Black leather with an Alcantara interior with carbon-fiber trim, red stripes on the seatbelts, and other goodies marking the specialness of the car.

The 2016 911 Carrera GTS Club Coupe pictured above has just 2,900 miles on the odometer and an optional PDK transmission. As you would expect, this example is in excellent condition, with only a few minor scratches shown underneath the front spoiler and plenty of service history from Porsche. The car comes with its original owner’s manuals, sales literature, a photo album of the build, and a 1/18th scale model.

With only 60 examples built, comps should be few and far between. Over the past five years, only ten cars have come up for auction, with only one failing to sell. Over that period, sales have held steady in the $140-160k range, save for one example sold in 2019. Interestingly, every car listed has been equipped with the PDK transmission.

Our Spotlight car brought a new five-year high for the model at $162,500, a price we haven’t seen since 2021. With the most recent comp selling for $148,350 with 2,800 miles, one would have thought this is well-sold. But the fact that the Club Coupe is limited to only 60 units as an homage to the PCA and one of the last normally aspirated 911s, a few years down the road, we’re going to wish we had paid up for one.
