Making its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 2015, Porsche’s 991.1 GT3 RS ditched not only the 3.8-liter engine found in the standard GT3 for a 4.0-liter unit but also the availability of a manual transmission in favor of PDK. Other changes included louvers over the front fenders and turbo-like intakes on the rear haunches.

This 2016 911 GT3 RS is finished in Lava Orange over Black and Lava Orange upholstery and optioned with Adaptive Sport Seats instead of the Carbon-Fiber Buckets, PDLS headlights, PCM Navigation, and more for an original MSRP of $203,900. The car is presented in excellent condition after 17,000 miles with a clean CarFax, service history from Porsche, and only minor blemishes on the sacrificial front chin spoiler and minor scratches on the seatbacks.

The market for higher mileage GT3 RS’ has held reasonably steady over the past year with the drop below $200,000 happening after the 10,000-mile mark. Interestingly, prices don’t appear to vary much from 11,000 miles to the highest mileage we’ve seen this year at 23,400 miles and straddle the $180k line.

Luckily for the seller our Spotlight car was on the top side of that line and sold for $190,000. The price paid was most likely due to the condition and I’m venturing a guess that the lack of buckets might have played a part as well. If you’re going to be putting lots of mileage on an RS, you would want to do it in as much comfort as possible.
