First seen at the Detroit Motor Show in 2014, Porsche’s all-new Targa steered away from the sliding glass panels of previous generations and introduced a roof technology keeping with the original Targa design, adding an electronically operated soft top. Initially, Targas were only available with the standard engine or S variant, but for the 991.2, the GTS trim became available, giving the car 450 horsepower.

This 2017 911 Targa 4 GTS is finished in GT Silver Metallic over Black Leather with Alcantara inserts and shows just 15,000 miles on the odometer. It comes well-equipped with a limited-slip differential with Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, Premium Package Plus, black 20” Turbo S wheels, a front-axle lift system, BOSE, PCM, and more. It is presented in excellent condition with books and a clean CarFax, although no paint meter readings are provided in the photos.

The market for Targa 4 GTS’ peaked in early 2022 and has been declining since, showing signs of normal depreciation. This example sold for $142,000 in June of 2022 with just over 10,000 miles. And now, with an additional 5,000 miles on the clock, it sold for $135,911. Not much of a loss for 5k miles, but heading down nonetheless. See, sometimes Porsches do depreciate.
