992 GT3 Market Update
Good Morning! I’m writing this morning from the hotel lobby in Pittsburgh after a long drive yesterday for the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. If you are in town as well for the vintage race through Schenley Park this weekend, reply to this email, as I’d love to meet some SML readers. Not here and want to see some great vintage Porsches ripping around the track? You can live vicariously through my Instagram account.
And what was that I said yesterday about jinxing the market? Yeah, oops.

The 992 GT3 market is a fickle one and very spec dependent, but it seems to have started to level off after a drop through the first six months of the year. Winged cars equipped seem to have leveled off between $225,000 and $250,000 for cars with a few thousand miles, regardless of transmission choice.
But this 2022 911 GT3 is sans wing. Equipped with the Touring package and finished in Chalk over Black Exclusive Manufaktur interior, it has about $30k in extras, including a front-axle lift, Chrono Package, BOSE, Adaptive Sport Seats Plus, Exclusive Design taillights, and more. Not the highest specced car, but a really nice combination.
It sold yesterday on PCARMARKET at a high bid of $281,991, which is right in line with recent comps for other cars with around 2,000 miles. Regardless of transmission, it seems that Tourings have leveled off at about a $50,000 premium to GT3s with wings and still a premium over MSRP.
I, for one, am interested to see what the second half of the year brings for these 992 GT3s. I think that the price increase for 2024, along with the fact that allocations are few and far between, might slow down the free-fall in price that we saw earlier this year. Only time will tell. Right on the money, for now.
