993 Carrera 4S' Keep The Momentum
Good Morning! I’m writing this after wrapping up our last day at Porsche Parade in Palm Springs, CA. What a time we had with 32 family members, many old friends, and a whole bunch of new ones. Thanks to those that took a minute to say hello, it was great meeting more SML readers. And to top it all off, I got to see Jerry Seinfeld pick up the Classic Club Coupe he bought at auction last week and drive off back to L.A.

The 993 Carrera 4S market continues to push upward with the sale of this stunning one-owner 1998 911 Carrera 4S. Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over Black Leather, the car features a 6-speed transmission, Sunroof, Xenon headlights with washers, and Sports Seats and is a masterclass in vehicle presentation.
With over 400 photos in the listing, every inch of the car is there for inspection. The exterior paint looks fantastic and the seller notes only one door hinge has been refinished. Inside, the Black leather is excellent as are the carpets, headliner, and front storage compartment.
Regarding documentation, the car comes with its original window sticker, a pile of service records, and other paperwork. The car comes with two keys, a tool roll, a tire pump, and pictures of the repaired door hinge.
It sold yesterday for $157,000, on the upper end of the market for C4S’ with similar mileage. Had the car been an interesting color, had the X51 package, or perhaps an Aerokit, we would have seen a price closer to $175k. But $157,000 is a far cry over the $83,716 the owner paid for the car back in the late ‘90s. I’d say they did pretty well over the last 25 years. Well-sold.
