The 993 Turbo market has gained strength over the last few years in both terms of average price, and the sheer number of cars available. In fact, 30% of all 993 Turbos sold in the last five years have run through in the last 12 months.
The latest, this 1997 911 Turbo 6-Speed finished in Slate Gray Metallic over Black supple leather is no stranger to the online auction scene. It was previously offered by the dealer in October 2022 and ended with a final bid of $236,000, failing to meet the reserve. This time, however, it was a little different.
Although the car was well-represented last year, the seller took the liberty of adding way more detailed photos showing the pristine undercarriage in detail, more service history and double the paint meter readings with the meter on the correct settings. Add to the fact that the seller decided to list the car this time at No Reserve, it was hard not to get wrapped up in this one.
And wrapped up people did with over 200 comments and a final bidding battle between two passionate individuals resulting in a very strong sale of $280,000. That’s top money for a car with 48,000 miles, but based on the details of the listing, the car was 100% worth it. Well-sold by the seller but the buyer also made out with an excellent example.
