Your standard 991.2 GT3 RS wasn’t much different than the 991.1 GT3 RS it replaced in 2018. A little bump in horsepower, a bit of a facelift, and a larger wing similar to the GT2 RS were among the changes. But what really set the dot-two apart was the addition of the Weissach Package.

Porsche’s Weissach Package added additional carbon fiber body and interior parts, magnesium BBS wheels, and stiffer suspension settings and became the option to have as most 991.2 RS’ we see are equipped as such.

The market for these cars has been in a decline over the last twelve months with a ceiling of about $260k, whereas this time last year that was the floor with cars reaching as high as $335,000 for a sub-500-mile example finished in Guards Red.

Our Spotlight car, this 2019 911 GT3 RS Weissach Package equipped example, has less than 200 miles on the odometer and is finished in Lizard Green over Black and Lizard Green leather. With an MSRP of $243,000, it was a nicely optioned car with not only the Weissach Package, but PCCB brakes, extended range fuel tank, front axle lift system, extended leather and Alcantara trim, and much more.

It sold yesterday on PCARMARKET for $270,000 breaking through the $260k ceiling and setting a new twelve-month high for the model. A start contrast though for the $335k we saw a year ago and in-line with the decline we’ve seen for the model.

WIth a $50k price drop one might call this one well-bought, but when we look further back in time we can see that delivery mileage cars were selling below MSRP back in 2020 before they shot up post-COVID making me think there is still room to move lower, especially with deliveries of 992 GT3 RS’ starting. Only time will tell but in a year I have a feeling we’ll be calling this one well sold.
