Porsche 996 GT2 Price Update
Good Morning! If you love wings on Porsches, yesterday was your day as we saw a 993 GT2 Evo, a 996 GT2, and the king of wings, a 964 modified by RWB all cross the online auction block. And for a day with only a dozen cars, our dollar volume was looking great thanks to 8 cars over the $100k mark.

Built primarily as a road car as opposed to the track-oriented variation of the previous 993 generation, Porsche’s 996 GT2 was the most powerful 911 built at the time with 456 hp and RWD. It was also one of the rarest with only 1,287 cars produced worldwide.
The GT2 market surged after 2020 where the average sales price was $120,000 with not a single car selling over $200k. But by July 2022, most GT2s were well over $200,000 with only a handful of cars dragging the average down to $179,000. Since the new year, however, pricing seems to be softening with only 1 car selling over $200k since October of last year.
This 2003 911 GT2 is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over Black leather. It currently has just over 10,000 miles on the odometer and features the optional aluminum/chrome package and custom carbon fiber trim pieces. The car was presented well with plenty of pictures and paint meter readings indicating no paintwork.
Our Spotlight car sold for $201,000, now the second car over $200k in six months. But with 10,000 miles, I would have expected more, maybe somewhere in the $230/40k range as this was a very nice low-mileage example with no paint. Well bought as I don’t see prices for nice GT2s getting much lower than this.
