Over the past three years, the market for 997 Turbo 6-Speeds of both the coupe and cabriolet variety has risen about $30,000 as buyers realize what a great car the last of the production manual Turbos was. And with the rise in price comes the rise in the number of listings as those with Turbos look to cash in after years of ownership during the Turbo’s “used car” phase. Prior to January 2020, only 8 cars were listed at auction. Post 2020 and into the price increase, that number has increased to 58.

While prices have flattened over the last twelve months at an average price of $97,000, we still get an above-average result every now and then. Now this 2008 911 Turbo Cabriolet 6-Speed doesn’t have lower-than-average miles at 38k, there are many cars with lower and plenty with similar, but it brought an above-average price at $103,000 yesterday.

What this Turbo Cab. has going for it is a rarer shade that suits the nature of the car perfectly, and one of the best vehicle presentations I’ve seen. The car is finished in Macadamia Metallic paint over Sand Beige Leather with a Black soft top. An absolutely brilliant color combination that is highlighted in the professional photography showcasing the car.

These pictures are excellent. Something you’d see out of an issue of Panorama, especially the drone shots, and the detail shots are just what you need to get a sense of how well cared for this car is. With plenty of service records, DME report, and paint meter readings to quell those questions, this is how you sell a car. The extra effort here resulted in about $8,000 over other recent sales with similar mileage.
