The second generation 997.2 GT3 RS was produced in low numbers with only 541 units brought to the United States and in Porsche world-low production numbers usually mean big money. With a sticker price of $157,825, the 2011 GT3 RS pictured above was lightly optioned and finished in Grey Black over Black, the more common colorway we see on these.
Over the past three years 997.2 RS’ have gone from roughly $130,000 in 2020 to double that in today’s market. And with only 9,000 miles on the odometer and in excellent condition inside and out, for our Spotlight car to bring $331,997 should not have been a surprise.
These are the last of what many consider the truly analog Porsche and with GT3 RS 4.0s in the $600+ range, they are a bit of a value. This one was well bought as they don’t make’em like they used to.
