Speculators are all over the delivery mile Porsche market, not just with GT cars. The only difference, not a single 2022 992 GTS like the Aventurine Green example above has met reserve this year and high bids are getting lower. Lot’s of shots, but no baskets. Sorry MJ.
Our spotlight car is in a great color and very well optioned with a $155,690 sticker price and 177 miles and ended yesterday with a final bid of $166,000. The last GTS offered was bid to $168,500 three months ago and the one prior to that one was bid to $172,000. And the one before that? $182,000. Starting to see a pattern here?
Yes, the market average for a 2022 GTS is $732,995. But that number is incredibly inflated due to just a single sale: the 911 Carrera GTS ‘Sally Special’ which sold for charity at a whopping $3,600,000 and is being driven like it should by a collector in Arizona.
Although GT cars are still selling for overs, even that market has slowed down considerably in the last month and the “normal” 911 market is no different. Obviously, I can’t say well-bought or well-sold on this one, but should it have transacted at $166,000, I’d say it was well-sold before these fall even more.
