992 GT3 Update

There was a time, not too long ago, when the floor for a delivery mileage 992 GT3 Touring was just shy of $300,000. Even for run-of-the-mill cars missing the most desirable options, big money was to be made flipping your car after the drive home from the dealership. I tell my kids stories about those days, and they shake their heads in disbelief.

Disbelief, because aside from one auction getting out of hand (there’s a lot of booze at these live ones, just saying), you’re not getting $300,000 in today’s market without a Paint To Sample car. And it better be the right color. The last two Tourings with delivery mileage and wearing a non-PTS color sold in the $260s. And quite a few have gone unsold as sellers refuse to accept the reality of today’s market.

Our Spotlight car, a 2022 911 GT3 Touring finished in Guards Red, is as fresh as they get with only 107 miles on the odometer. Fitted with over $50,000 in options, most notably PCCBs, Carbon Fiber roof, and $15,000 in Exclusive Manufaktur Leather Interior, it commanded an MSRP of $218,430 but was only bid to $247,500.

Unfortunately, our seller is still stuck in the past and is looking for $275,000. $25,000 more than what the market is willing to bear. Prices on 2022 GT3 Tourings are only heading in one direction. If you’re looking for all the money, you’ve missed the boat on this one.
