Black Friday Porsche 911 Deals

Here’s something I didn’t see coming: a sub $90,000 50th Anniversary 911. Last I checked these cars were over $100k, sometimes well over. But this example in the perfect color combo sold yesterday for $88,750 on PCARMARKET.

This car appeared to have everything going for it. The perfect exterior color of Geyser Grey. The black leather with dark silver stitching and pepita inserts. The wide body of the AWD 911 but with 2WD. And those Fuchs-inspired wheels!

What gives?!

Well as any collector knows, a car’s value can be significantly diminished by the collector car kiss of death: a bad CarFax. Although the seller-provided paint meter readings, you can’t escape the fact that “something” happened to this car under past stewardship. Add to that fact that this car had 3 previous owners and higher mileage at 47,907 miles, and the price paid for this one seems about right after you dig into the details.

A normal 991 S with PDK with ~45,000 miles should sell for about $65,000. So this buyer paid a $20,000 markup to have something a little different at Cars & Coffee next weekend. That being said, I’d have to consider this one well-sold.
